In Foundation Stage we learn through hands-on experiences. We gain independence as we are provided with stimulating and challenging activities both indoors and outdoors. The activities we do are both child and teacher initiated and take into account the six areas of learning:
Personal, Social and Emotional Development Communication, Language and Literacy Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy Knowledge and Understanding of the World Physical Development Creative Development
Autumn Term
We have fun making new friends and learning about ourselves in the Autumn term, before working on the Christmas Production with Key Stage 1.
Spring Term
The Spring term is spent learning all about nature and new life
Summer Term
Children and adults alike enjoy our day out at Bocketts Farm near Leatherhead. The visit is linked to the Early Years curriculum, learning about animals. We spend time being guided round the farm and meeting the animals. We always enjoy watching the pig race and cheering our favourite pig to win! | ||
