We keep very busy in Kangaroos and Koalas ...

We investigate a variety of topics in Science including Healthy Eating  and Helping Plants Grow through hands-on experiments.  Some of our other favourite topics include the Romans and Australia .  We learn lots of useful skills in ICT and use our class interactive whiteboard as much as possible.  In the Autumn Term we lead the Harvest Assembly and take part in the Surrey Borders Concert in the Spring Term. 

As part of our Art topic on sculpture, Year 3 went on an Art Walk around Staines .  We used a map to find our way around the town and answered questions and made sketches of various examples of sculpture in town and by the river. We sketched our favourite sculpture to inspire us to create our own sculptures in class.

Once back in the classroom, we worked in pairs to create our own sculptures using model magic, paint, silver foil and pipe cleaners. We then looked for interesting backgrounds for our sculptures to really show them off!
